On Thursday 17th January, Karen Kimura, the GDST's Learning and Development Officer, presented to College students as part of our lecture programme. The theme was business start-ups as Karen and her husband run a successful sushi shop/café in London. Students were shocked at the many challenges faced by Karen and other small entrepreneurs, such as the cost of rubbish collection and finding suitable staff. Karen was impressed with the level of engagement from our students and also by the ideas they provided her for how she can move the business forward. Well done to you all!
