We were delighted to welcome Professor Strong to The View last week. He presented the first live lecture of our 2022-23 College Programme. Our academic scholars and many other interested students were entertained by the concept of 'The Farce of Quality Television'. Professor Strong challenged us to think about the design and impact of several popular television programmes including Game of Thrones, The Wire and Westworld. He explored the use of multiple story threads to engage and retain viewers.
Our next lecture will be presented by our own Dr Knowles who will be talking about 'The Raft of the Medusa' combining elements of language, art and music. This will be held on 7th December. Academic scholars interested students and staff are welcome to join us.
