In the College Meeting on Monday 14th March Year 13 students Georgina C, Katie G and Georgia K gave a presentation on Young Carers Action Day which takes place this Wednesday, 16th March.
The students talked about this nationwide event, organised by the Carer’s Trust, which aims to raise awareness of the struggles and importance of young carers. This important day has been celebrated nationally for the past 6 years and helps to raise awareness of young carers who make massive contributions to their communities and families.
This year, young carers want to highlight the incredible skills they have developed through caring including resilience, time-management and empathy. Click here to watch a short film of featuring 3 young adult carers.
