On the evening of Monday 28th November, Mrs Jowett accompanied Issy B and Sarah O (Year 13) to the Cardiff Business Club Lecture and Dinner at the Hilton Hotel. The guest speaker was Professor, the Baroness Finlay of Llandaff. Her talk focused on her contributions to palliative medicine and care in Wales, the UK and internationally, as well as her achievements as a life Peer in the House of Lords. Her insights into healthcare and the legislative processes in the UK were fascinating. The talk was followed by a dinner during which guests networked with a wide variety of representatives from the business, political and academic community across Cardiff. It was an insightful and enjoyable evening. We are extremely grateful to alumna, Mrs Sue Shepherd, who so generously supported the students to attend the evening and help develop their networking skills.
