Guided Home Learning

Howell’s launched Live Guided Home Learning this week for all learners and the feedback from students and parents has been incredibly positive. Teachers have adapted lessons in ways we could never have imagined a few weeks ago ensuring school life thrives in the new normal. In the wider school life, Mrs Davis kicked off the term for girls in the Senior School with an assembly about being brave and Miss Batchelor has posted a Dance lesson on You-tube for all to enjoy. Extra-curricular PE with Mrs Crawford was a great success at lunchtime with other students joining Mrs Wilks for the Lunchtime Library group. Form groups were glad to be back in touch with the introduction of tutor time sessions on-line and the children of key workers have been enjoying time in the sunshine between curriculum activities.

Mrs Davis would like to share some of the parent feedback.

“I wanted to send a quick email to say what a wonderful job you and your team have done at setting up Guided Home Learning! Amazing that you’ve achieved it in such a very short amount of time.

Our girls are much more settled having a structured day and feel fully supported by their fabulous and dedicated teachers.

Yet again, the school has exceeded our expectations!”

“I wanted to write to say a huge thank you for this terms new structure and planning. I can only imagine the sheer amount of work that’s gone into pulling this off and I wanted to let you know how very much we appreciate it.

We watched your assembly this morning which was a perfect way to kick off the term and our daughter has settled into the rhythm of lessons really well so far.”
