On Tuesday 3rd December, seven College Economics & Business students travelled to the magnificent Drapers' Hall in the City of London for the annual Raleigh Lecture given by the Guild of Entrepreneurs. The students were tasked with researching and then discussing their views on how the 4th Industrial Revolution (AI/Robotics/Connectivity) will affect the labour market, privacy laws and enterprise opportunities. This was followed by an engaging lecture from Dr Van Werven of CASS Business School on how the 4th Industrial Revolution will create opportunities for all, regardless of demographic and technical ability. Our students immersed themselves in the discussions and made the most of the opulent surroundings and the rather tasty refreshments that were provided!
