Last week, Year 13 English students attended a series of lectures on Tennessee Williams's 1947 play ‘A Streetcar Named Desire’ in Bristol. The lectures were very useful as they widened my knowledge of the text, which will hopefully benefit my A-level. Although I did not agree entirely with some of the lectures, it opened up an interesting debate about the way in which the text can be perceived. Overall a very enjoyable day.
